Procedure for certification and registration of patent agents

1. General provisions

1. The procedure for certification and registration of patent agents (further - the Procedure) is developed according to the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "About patent agents" (further - the Law) and establishes rules and procedures of implementation of certification and registration of patent agents in the Kyrgyz Republic.

2. According to the Law certification of candidates for patent agents (further - candidates) and registration of patent agents are performed by authorized state body in the field of intellectual property of the Kyrgyz Republic (further - Kyrgyzpatent).

3. Certification of patent agents is carried out in the form of verification of the submitted documents and testing certification for determination of readiness to implementation of professional activity of the candidates applying for registration as patent agents taking into account the restrictions declared by them.

4. Certification of candidates, additional certification of patent agents are performed by Kyrgyzpatent in process of receipt of statements for certification on condition of payment of the established duty.
