Article 1

The parties, according to Item 5 of article 1 of the Protocol of May 13, 2002 to the Agreement between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation on differentiation of bottom of northern part of the Caspian Sea for the purpose of implementation of the sovereign rights to subsurface use of July 6, 1998, item 4 of article 1 of the Agreement between the Azerbaijan Republic and the Russian Federation on differentiation of adjacent sites of bottom of the Caspian Sea of September 23, 2002 and article 2 of the Protocol of February 27, 2003 to the Agreement between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Azerbaijan Republic on differentiation of bottom of the Caspian Sea between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Azerbaijan Republic of November 29, 2001, determined location of point of joint of the lines of demarcation of adjacent sites of bottom of the Caspian Sea with geographical coordinates of 42 °33'6 northern latitude and 49 °53'3 east longitude.

Article 2

This agreement is temporarily applied from the moment of signing and becomes effective from the date of the last written notice of accomplishment of the corresponding interstate procedures by the Parties.

It is made in the city of Almaty on May "14", 2003 in triplicate, everyone in the Kazakh, Azerbaijani and Russian languages, and all texts are equally authoritative.
