in view of historically developed atmosphere of trust and aspiration to mutual support between brotherly Kyrgyz and Tajik the people,

essentially confirming aspiration to further deepening of bilateral mutually beneficial and complex cooperation according to the Agreement on bases of the interstate relations between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Tajikistan of July 12, 1996 and other mutual arrangements, and also being guided by the fundamental and conventional principles of international law,

being guided by mutual aspiration to further expansion and deepening of bilateral cooperation,

agreed as follows:

1. The parties will regularly hold on the basis of the mutual arrangement consultations at the level of Foreign Ministries on all interesting questions.

2. The parties recognize need of opening of Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan for the Kyrgyz Republic.

3. The parties will hold regular meetings at all levels on coordination of efforts and interaction on counteraction to extremism, the terrorism, transnational organized crime, illegal migration and actions directed to violent change of the constitutional system.

For this purpose, the Parties on the basis of the signed agreements will actively develop joint operation of law enforcement agencies, intelligence agencies and Defense Ministries.

4. The parties will strengthen cooperation on the basis of the Contract between the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan on collateral actions on fight against terrorism, political and religious extremism, transnational organized crime and other threats of stability and safety of the Parties of April 21, 2000.

5. The parties recognize need of activation of international efforts on political settlement of the conflict in Afghanistan under the auspices of the UN.
