According to the Procedure for import to customs area of Ukraine of the unregistered medical products approved by Goslekinspektion's order of MZ of 16.06.2010 No. 112, customs clearance of the unregistered medical products it is performed after receipt of the written message by customs authority concerning possibility of import to customs area of Ukraine of the unregistered medical products or the corresponding electronic message.
However Article 197 of new edition of the Customs code of Ukraine of 13.03.2012 No. 4495-VI (took effect from 01:06. 2012) the following is established. In the cases provided by the law on separate goods restrictions concerning their movement through customs border of Ukraine are set. The omission of such goods through customs border of Ukraine and their customs clearance are performed by customs authorities based on the means of information technologies of documents received with use which confirm observance of the specified restrictions issued by the state bodies authorized on implementation of the corresponding control functions, other legal entities authorized on their issue if submission of such documents to customs authorities is provided by the laws of Ukraine. Lists of such goods (with indication of their description and code according to UKT foreign trade activities), and also procedure for issue of the corresponding permissions and their address with use of means of information technologies affirm the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
