About the organization and carrying out physical examination of persons before marriage

According to Art. 46 of the Law on health protection No. 411-XIII of March 28, 1995 (The official monitor of the Republic of Moldova, 1995, No. 34, the Art. 373) and Art. 13 of the Family code No. 1316-XIV of October 26, 2000. (Official monitor of the Republic of Moldova, 2001, No. 47-48, Art. 210) we ORDER:

1. Officials of the bodies of civil registration, and in cases established by the law, bodies of local public authority issue at the request of persons wishing to marry the direction on physical examination according to the sample given in appendix No. 1.

2. The direction on the physical examination valid before marriage, is issued personally to each applicant.

3. Physical examination of persons wishing to marry consists of the minimum packet of clinical and laboratory trials. On medical indications and on the basis of the informed consent, persons interested to marry have advantage in expanded packet of clinical and laboratory trials. The list of clinical and laboratory trials, within physical examinations of persons wishing to marry is established in appendix No. 2 to this order.

4. Heads of the medical institutions involved in compulsory medical insurance:

1) will organize physical examination of persons wishing to marry, it is free from their informed consent, in the presence of the direction of the approved sample (appendix No. 1), according to the list of the approved clinical and laboratory trials;

2) is registered by results of clinical and laboratory trials in the medical out-patient book of the patient (form No. 025/e);

3) inform the inspected persons on free access to consultation when testing for HIV markers;

4) inform the inspected persons on results of clinical and laboratory trials according to the laws and rules about personal data protection.
