According to the Federal Law "About the Treatment of Radioactive Waste and about Modification of Separate Legal Acts of the Russian Federation" Government of the Russian Federation decides:

1. Approve enclosed:

criteria of reference of solid, liquid and gaseous waste to radioactive waste;

criteria of reference of radioactive waste to special radioactive waste and to the deleted radioactive waste;

criteria of classification of the deleted radioactive waste.

2. The criteria approved by this resolution are applied in case of:

implementation of activities in the field of use of atomic energy, including the activities connected with development, production, testing, operation and utilization of nuclear weapon and military nuclear power plants;

mitigations of consequences of radiation accidents;

rehabilitations of radiation contaminated territories including formed as a result of accomplishment of the state program of arms and the state defense order, use of nuclear charges in the peace purposes;

implementation of the types of activity which are not connected with use of atomic energy on production and conversion of mineral and organic raw materials with the increased content of natural radionuclides.

3. To federal executive bodies and State Atomic Energy Corporation "Rosatom" in 9-month time to bring the regulatory legal acts into accord with this resolution.
