About modification and amendments in the Law of Turkmenistan "About Public service of Turkmenistan on fight against drugs"

I. Bring in the Law of Turkmenistan "About Public service of Turkmenistan on fight against drugs", adopted on October 23, 2008 (Sheets of Majlis of Turkmenistan, 2008, No. 4, the Art. 50), the following changes and amendments:

1. State Article 10 in the following edition:

"Article 10. Functions of Service on fight against drugs

According to the tasks assigned to Service on fight against drugs it performs the following functions:

Reveals 1), warns and solves the crimes connected with drug trafficking;

2) is made by investigation of criminal cases according to the legislation of Turkmenistan;

3) is made by inquiry according to the procedure, provided by the criminal procedure legislation of Turkmenistan;

4) holds investigation and search operations on counteraction to drug trafficking;

Makes 5) according to the procedure, established by the legislation of Turkmenistan, examination of drugs and other narcocontaining connections;

6) makes registration and records the crimes and persons which made them on the criminal cases referred according to the legislation of Turkmenistan to competence of Service on fight against drugs;

7) carries out work on suppression of activities of the groups which are engaged in making of the crimes connected with drug trafficking, to their neutralization and eradication according to the legislation of Turkmenistan;

8) informs in accordance with the established procedure bodies of health care on persons concerning whom good reasons to believe are had that they have drug addiction, and also gives help in providing their appearance and relevant organs of health care;

9) together with bodies of health care holds the relevant activities for delivery of health care according to the procedure, established by the legislation of Turkmenistan, to the persons having drug addiction, staying on the preventive registry and evading from voluntary treatment;
