About measures for further liberalization of procedure for sale of foreign currency to physical persons

For the purpose of further strengthening of the status of national currency as single legal means of payment in the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan, streamlining of the sphere of the address of cash foreign currency, unconditional accomplishment of international standards on counteraction of legalization of income gained in the criminal way and also enhancement of the mechanism of implementation of currency exchange transactions:

1. Accept the offer of the Central bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan and commercial banks on introduction since February 1, 2013 of the mechanism of sale of foreign currency to physical persons - to residents of the Republic of Uzbekistan authorized banks in non-cash form with use of the international payment cards.

2. Determine that sale of non-cash foreign currency to physical persons - to residents of the Republic of Uzbekistan is performed in buildings of authorized banks and their branches in the following procedure:

the physical person - the resident of the Republic of Uzbekistan in accordance with the established procedure opens the international payment card in authorized bank;

for acquisition of foreign currency the physical person - the resident of the Republic of Uzbekistan submits to authorized bank the identity document (the passport, the residence permit or the military ID for the military personnel), and also personal bank plastic card with availability on its deposit account of necessary money in national currency for implementation of transaction on currency exchange;
