Rules and regulations of providing quarantine and protection of plants (further - Rules) are developed according to requirements of article 3 of the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan "About quarantine of plants" and determine rules of import of quarantine materials to the Republic of Tajikistan, and also their export to foreign countries.

2. The purpose of development of these rules is implementation of activities for prevention of penetration and distribution of quarantine harmful organisms to the republic and to ensuring fight against them.

3. Provisions of these rules take root Committee of food security under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan (further - Committee), and their requirements shall be fulfilled by state bodies, local executive bodies of the government, and also physical persons and legal entities.
