This Law is directed to legal regulation of questions of the state symbols of the Republic of Belarus established by the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus and determines the description and procedure for their use.
Article 1. Symbols of the Republic of Belarus as sovereign state are National flag of the Republic of Belarus, the State Emblem of the Republic of Belarus and the National anthem of the Republic of Belarus.
Article 2. Citizens of the Republic of Belarus, and also foreign citizens who are in the territory of the Republic of Belarus and stateless persons shall treat National flag of the Republic of Belarus, the State Emblem of the Republic of Belarus and the National anthem of the Republic of Belarus with respect.
Article 3. The standard of National flag of the Republic of Belarus and standard of the State Emblem of the Republic of Belarus (multi-color, two-color and one-color (silver and gold)) are stored in public institution "National archive of the Republic of Belarus", reference record of the National anthem of the Republic of Belarus is stored in "Belarusian Public Records Office of Film Photophonodocuments" organization – constantly.
National flag of the Republic of Belarus and its image irrespective of their sizes shall correspond in accuracy to standard of National flag of the Republic of Belarus. The image of National flag of the Republic of Belarus is placed in appendix 1.
The reproduced image of the State Emblem of the Republic of Belarus irrespective of its sizes shall correspond in accuracy multi-color, two-color and one-color (silver and gold) to standards of the State Emblem of the Republic of Belarus. The image of the State Emblem of the Republic of Belarus is placed in appendices 2-5.
