expressing aspiration to cooperation on the basis of mutual respect and trust,

being sure that development of bilateral contacts in military area will lead to extension of contacts between the states of the Parties,

for the purpose of long planning and determination of spheres of military cooperation between the states of the Parties,

agreed as follows:

Article 1

1. The parties fulfill the obligations specified in this agreement according to the principle of equality and reciprocity.

2. The parties apply this agreement according to rules of international law, national legal systems of the states of the Parties and within the assumed international obligations.

Article 2

Authorized bodies of the Parties on implementation of this agreement are:

from the Kazakhstan Side - the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

from the Azerbaijani Side - the Ministry of Defence of the Azerbaijan Republic.

Article 3

1. The parties perform cooperation in the following spheres of military activities:

1.1. Defense policy.

1.2. Military-economic activities.

1.3. Military and technical activities.

1.4. Training.

1.5. Public and culturally - sports work in army.

1.6. Military legislation and legal aid.

1.7. Military and scientific activities and military history.

1.8. Military medicine.

1.9. Confidence-building measures and safety.
