ORDER OF THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF MOLDOVA

About approval of the list of the travel documents necessary for foreigners for crossing of frontier of the Republic of Moldova

(as amended on 29-05-2025)

Based on article 7 of the Law No. 257 of November 1, 2013 on natives of the third states obliged to have the visa, and natives of the third states exempted from obligation to have the visa when crossing frontier of the Republic of Moldova (The official monitor of the Republic of Moldova, 2014, Art. No. 1-3, 2), the Government DECIDES:

1. Approve:

the list of the travel documents issued by the third states, territorial educations or administrations (including not recognized as the Republic of Moldova), according to appendix No. 1;

the list of the travel documents issued by the international organizations according to appendix No. 2.

2. Crossing of frontier of the Republic of Moldova is possible only based on the travel documents confirming the holder's right to crossing of frontier of the Republic of Moldova what the third countries informed the authorities of the republic Moldova, with exceptions, stipulated by the legislation on.

3. To the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration to demand from the states issuers on one sample of each accepted travel document. The sample shall be available at check points of frontier in the form of the image on which aspects of the main characteristics of safety are described.

4. In case of need changes or amendments of the list of the travel documents accepted by the Republic of Moldova the Ministry of Internal Affairs and or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration initiates the necessary procedure.

5. To impose control of execution of this resolution on the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
