1. The national agency of Ukraine concerning public service (NAGS) is the central executive body which activities go and coordinated by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and which provides forming and realizes state policy in the field of public service, exercises functional control of public service.
Coordination of work of NAGS is provided by the Prime Minister of Ukraine.
2. NAGS in the activities is guided by the Constitution and the laws of Ukraine, presidential decrees of Ukraine and resolutions of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine accepted according to the Constitution of Ukraine and the laws of Ukraine, acts of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, other acts of the legislation.
3. The main objectives of NAGS are:
1) ensuring forming and realization of state policy in the field of public service and concerning personnel management in state bodies;
2) participation in forming of state policy in the field of service in local government bodies;
3) implementation of functional management of public service.
