About compulsory insurance from the fire
This Law following from article 23 of the Law of the Azerbaijan Republic "About fire safety" governs the relations in insurance field from the fire of property of the legal entities and physical persons which are engaged in business activity in the territory of the Azerbaijan Republic, and the civil responsibility before the third parties determines the minimum mandatory requirements which shall be carried out by participants of this insurance.
Provisions of this Law do not extend to the physical persons who are not connected with business activity.
The purpose of compulsory insurance from the fire is protection of valuable interests of insurers and the population with timely payment of compensation of the harm done as a result of the fire to their property and health and provision of collateral security on social protection.
