About introduction of amendments to the Law of Ukraine "About the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine" concerning enhancement of coordination and control in the field of homeland security and defense

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine decides:

1. Bring in the Law of Ukraine "About the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine" (Sheets of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, 1998, No. 35, the Art. 237) the following changes:

Article 2 to add 1) with parts two and third the following content:

"The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine according to this Law the decision, becomes effective the presidential decree of Ukraine, approves Regulations of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.

The operating procedure of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine is established by this Law and the Regulations of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine";

2) in Article 4 part one:

a) word in paragraph one "determined by this Law" shall be replaced with words "determined by the Constitution of Ukraine and this Law";

b) in Item 1:

the paragraph one to state in the following edition:

"Develops 1) and considers at the meetings questions which according to the Constitution and the laws of Ukraine, the Strategy of homeland security of Ukraine, the Military doctrine of Ukraine belong to the sphere of homeland security and defense, and submits proposals to the President of Ukraine, makes the decision relatively";

add with the paragraph the twelfth the following content:

"Urgent measures for the solution of the crisis situations menacing to homeland security of Ukraine";

c) state Item 2 in the following edition:

"2) is coordinated by accomplishment of the decisions accepted by the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine enacted by presidential decrees of Ukraine and exercises the current control of activities of executive bodies in the field of homeland security and defense, submits to the President of Ukraine the corresponding conclusions and proposals";

d) add with Item 8 of the following content:
