The Council of Heads of Government of the Commonwealth of Independent States for the purpose of achievement of necessary level and quality of hydrometeorological providing the State Parties of the CIS allowing to reduce negative impact of the dangerous hydrometeorological phenomena on life activity of the population and functioning of economy DECIDED:
1. Approve the Concept of hydrometeorological safety of the State Parties of the Commonwealth of Independent States it (is applied).
2. Determine that this Concept is basis for development of programs and other documents in the field of hydrometeorological safety of the State Parties of the CIS.
3. This Decision becomes effective from the date of its signing, and for the states which legislation requires accomplishment of the interstate procedures necessary for the introduction of the Decision in force, - from the date of delivery to depositary of the notification on their accomplishment.
It is made in the city of Cholpon-At on April 16, 2004 in one authentic copy in Russian. The authentic copy is stored in Executive committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States which will send to each state which signed this Decision, its verified copy.
