The state members of the Central Asian Cooperation Organization (further - TsAS) which are hereinafter referred to as with the Parties

in view of provisions of the Joint communique of Heads of states of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan of October 5, 2002 and the Joint statement of Heads of states of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan of July 5, 2003,

proceeding from understanding of general political value of mass media,

for the purpose of satisfaction of cultural and information requirements of the population of the Parties, further strengthening of traditional ties between TsAS state members,

aiming to create common information space and favorable conditions for distribution of TV schedules and radio in the territories of the Parties,

attaching importance to development of mass media in TsAS state members,

considering organizational and technical, economic, technological capabilities and operational requirements of state members of TsAS, and also following recommendations of International Union of telecommunication,

agreed as follows:

Article 1

The parties, according to requirements of the national legal systems, develop cooperation on creation of favorable legal, organizational and economic conditions for ensuring broadcastings and distribution of TV schedules and radio in the territories.

Article 2

The parties promote exchange and distribution in the territories of TV schedules and radio, on the content not contradicting the national legal system, corresponding to national traditions, outlook and conduct of life, social and humanitarian values of the people of state members of TsAS.
