About approval of Regulations about cash cards

1.1. Based on the Art. 5, 11, 44 and 72 Laws on National Bank of Moldova No. 548-XIII of July 21, 1995 and for the purpose of enhancement of regulation of activities of commercial banks in payment systems by means of cash cards, Administrative board of National Bank of Moldova

DECIDES:

1. Approve Regulations about cash cards it (is applied).

2. On the date of entry into force of these Regulations to cancel:

a) The regulations No. 58/11-02 on the organization by banks of payments by cards in the territory of the Republic of Moldova approved by the decision of Administrative board, the protocol No. 23 of May 22, 1997 (Monitorul Oficial No. 38-39/60 of 12.06.1997), with subsequent changes and amendments;

The regulations about numbering of the plastic cards issued by the banks authorized by National Bank of Moldova approved by the decision of Administrative board No. 404 of December 25, 1998 (Monitorul Oficial No. 7-9/25 of 28.01.1999).

3. To impose control over the implementation of this resolution on department of payment service provider, department of information technologies and data processing and department of statistics.

4. This resolution is published in Monitorul Oficial al Republicii Moldova and becomes effective since June 30, 2005.
