About performing medical examinations of youth before wedding

For the purpose of execution of the Law "About the Child's Rights" (the Section 3, Item 15 (1) the Ministry of Health together with the Ministry of Justice ORDER:

1. Determine that, since 01.01.1996, bodies of civil registration make registration of marriages of newlyweds only after submission of the medical certificate issued by healthcare institutions of the Republic of Moldova.

2. To heads of medical institutions to organize operational physical examination of future spouses on the basis of the directions of bodies of civil registration with issue of the corresponding reference.

3. To management of civil registration of the Ministry of Justice and Head department of medical care, prevention and reforms of the Ministry of Health to organize execution of this order.

4. Approve regulations on medical examination of youth before marriage.

For the purpose of timely identification among the youth which submitted the application for wedding of the diseases which are descended of the prevention of the birth of children with heavy physical and mental malformations the following provision about physical examination of persons before wedding is established.
