About the Development program of hydropower for 2016 - 2020
In pursuance of the resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan of May 5, 2015 No. PP-2343 "About the Program of measures for reducing power consumption, implementation of energy-saving technologies in industries of economy and the social sphere for 2015 - 2019", for the purpose of ensuring economy of hydrocarbonic resources by means of the further deep diversification of fuel balance of the republic, technical and technological rearmament existing and creation of the new generating capacities in hydropower based on use of modern energy efficient technologies, taking into account the advanced achievements of world practice, the Cabinet of Ministers decides:
1. Approve the Development program of hydropower developed by the Ministry of Economics, the Ministry of agricultural and water economy of the Republic of Uzbekistan and JSC Uzbekenergo for 2016 - 2020 providing:
construction new and upgrade of the operating hydroelectric power stations in system of JSC Uzbekenergo on natural waterways and water management objects of the republic for 2016 - 2020 according to appendix No. 1;
construction new and upgrade of the operating hydroelectric power stations in system of the Ministry of agricultural and water economy on natural waterways and water management objects of the republic for 2016 - 2020 according to appendix No. 2.
2. Assign to heads of JSC Uzbekenergo and Ministry of agricultural and water economy of the Republic of Uzbekistan the personal responsibility for timely and high-quality execution of parameters of the Development program of hydropower for 2016 - 2020 and ensuring development of the project documentation on basis scientifically and technically reasonable prospecting works, taking into account the advanced achievements of world practice in the field of implementation of modern resource-saving technology solutions.
