Plenipotentiaries of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Uzbekistan concluded the this Protocol as follows:

Article 1

Withdrawals, stipulated in Article 2 Agreements between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on free trade of June 2, 1997 extend on:

the goods imported from the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Kazakhstan according to the appendix N 1;

the goods exported from the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Kazakhstan according to the appendix N 2.

Article 2

1. Concerning goods to which withdrawals from free trade regime according to Article of 1 this Protocol extend the Parties provide each other most favored nation treatment in that, as for:

the taxes and fees levied when importing (concerning the goods listed in appendix N 1) and export (concerning the goods listed in appendix N 2) including methods of collection of such taxes and fees;

the provisions concerning customs clearance of transit, transportation, warehousing, overload and other similar services;

payment methods and payment transfer;

issues of import licenses;

the rules concerning sale, purchase, transportation, distribution and use of goods in the domestic market.

2. Provisions of Item 1 of this Article are not applied to:

to the benefits represented to the either party to the third countries for the purpose of creation of the Customs union or the free trade area or as a result of creation of such union or zone;

to the benefits provided to developing countries according to the legislation of the Parties;

to the benefits provided to neighboring countries for the purpose of simplification of border trade;
