1. Approve the enclosed Rules of work on evidence-based confirmation of safety of genetically modified objects.

2. This resolution becomes effective from the date of the first official publication.

Rules of work on evidence-based confirmation of safety of genetically modified objects

1. These rules are developed according to the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan of July 21, 2007 "About safety of food products" and determine procedure for work by evidence-based confirmation of safety of genetically modified objects (further - Rules).

2. In these rules the following terms and concepts are used:

the subject - the legal entity or the individual entrepreneur performing economic activity in the field of production (production) and turnover of genetically modified objects (further - GMO);

risk assessment - quality and (or) quantitative standard of probability of penetration, rooting or distribution of the wrecker or disease and the potential biological and economic effects connected with it or assessment of possibility of adverse effect on life and health of the person or animals arising from presence of additives, pollutants, toxins or pathogenic organisms at food products;

authorized body - state body in the field of sanitary and epidemiologic wellbeing of the population.

3. Evidence-based confirmation of safety is carried out by the subject with use of risk assessment.
