About opening of representative offices of Customs Services of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Russian Federation

The government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Government of the Russian Federation which are hereinafter referred to as with the Parties

being guided by intentions to develop among themselves mutually beneficial cooperation concerning customs regulation,

aiming to provide effective implementation of the Agreement on cooperation and mutual assistance in customs affairs of April 15, 1994,

wishing to promote mutual interests of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Russian Federation in the field of customs affairs,

agreed as follows:

Article 1

1. The concepts used in this agreement mean the following:

"officials" are the persons sent for work to representative office of Customs Service and who started execution of the functions assigned to this representation according to Article 3 of this agreement;

"representative office of Customs Service" - the authorized division of Customs Service of the state of one Party operating in the territory of the state of other Party;

"Customs Service":

in the Republic of Tajikistan - Customs Service under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan;

in the Russian Federation - the Federal Customs Service;

"members of families of officials of representative office of Customs Service" - spouses, minor children of officials of representative office of Customs Service, and also constantly jointly the representative offices of Customs Service living with officials and the relatives of these officials who are in dependence.

2. The parties in writing through diplomatic channels inform each other on changes of names of Customs Services of the states.

Article 2

The representative office of Customs Service of the Republic of Tajikistan opens according to the legislation of the Republic of Tajikistan.
