About protection of agricultural plants against wreckers, diseases and weeds
The purpose of this Law is regulation of the relations connected with ensuring protection of agricultural plants against wreckers, diseases and weeds, prevention of harmful effects of remedies of plants on health of the person, the surrounding environment.
The legislation on protection of plants consists of this Law and other acts of the legislation.
The relations in the field of protection of plants in the Republic of Karakalpakstan it is regulated also by the legislation of the Republic of Karakalpakstan.
If the international treaty of the Republic of Uzbekistan establishes other rules, than those which are stipulated by the legislation the Republic of Uzbekistan about protection of plants then are applied rules of the international treaty.
In this Law the following basic concepts are applied:
weeds - wild-growing or half-cultured plants, biologically and the harvest and quality of their products which are ecologically adapted for growth among cultural plants and reducing;
wreckers - animals, including the insects capable to do harm to agricultural plants and products of plant origin;
pesticides - the chemicals used for pest control, diseases of plants and weeds and also regulators of growth and defoliants of agricultural plants;
phytosanitary supervision - tracking and establishment of level of distribution of harmful organisms and their natural antagonists, and also intensity of their development and injuriousness;
remedies of plants - chemical and biological - the means used for protection of plants;
