For the purpose of protection of cultural, historical and natural national heritage the Government of the Republic of Moldova DECIDES:

1. Approve Regulations on the natural and built-up conservation zones it (is applied).

2. Recommend to councils of counties, cities (municipiums), villages (communes), People's Assembly of Gagauzia and primara until the end of 2001:

a) constitute registers and lists of accounting of the natural and constructed heritage;

b) differentiate the zones having the value of cultural, historical or natural heritage;

c) perform designing, establishment and legalization of conservation zones of natural places, historical and cultural monuments of local value;

d) determine conservation zones for objects of the natural and constructed heritage of national and international value;

e) determine reasonable use of the monuments placed in the administrative territory.

3. To the ministry of the environment:

a) together with the Ministry of Culture, investments Agency and other legal entities and physical persons based on the Plan of arrangement of the national territory to plan the development program of tourism, including rural, for the purpose of inclusion in tourist routes of cultural, historical and natural heritage;

b) provide methodological management in case of identification of value of objects of the natural and constructed heritage of national and international value based on documentation on town planning and arrangement of the territory;

c) together with the Ministry of Culture to create the commission on monuments and conservation zones which will perform the activities on a voluntary basis;

d) to periodically organize seminars for specialists of design institutes, primar, secretaries and the staff of local authorities of architecture and town planning, local authorities of public management for the purpose of acquaintance with requirements of the provision approved by this resolution;

e) exercise control of application of regulations on the natural and built-up conservation zones.
