About measures for realization of provisions of the Law on highways

In pursuance of requirements of the Law on the highways Government of the Republic of Moldova Decides:

1. Approve Special requirements for owners and users of lands of the conservation zone of highways (appendix N 1).

2. Approve Rules of removal of obstacles for movement on the highways which arose owing to accidents, natural disasters and other contingencies (appendix N 2).

3. To the Ministry of Transport and Road Facilities till April 1, 1997 to develop and approve Technical rules of repair and content of highways.

Special requirements for owners and users of lands of the conservation zone of highways

For the purpose of protection of highways, creation of opportunities for their development, providing conditions for their content and movement of transport on them depending on appointment and functional sign of roads and according to the Law on highways on the lands adjoining to them the conservation zone is created.

Width of the conservation zone of national highways is established by the project, and local highways, depending on their appointment and placement, relevant organs of the Ministry of Transport and Road Facilities and bodies of local public authority, but at least 20 m on both sides from highway axis.

The earth of the conservation zone remain at the disposal of their owners. The activities the owner of land of the conservation zone of the highway shall not cause damage to the highway or obstruct traffic on it.
