1. Public service of Ukraine concerning work (Gostrud) is the central executive body which activities go and coordinated by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine through the First vice-Prime Minister of Ukraine - the Minister of Economic Affairs who realizes state policy in the field of industrial safety, labor protection, occupational health, the treatment of explosive materials of industrial function, implementation of the state mountain supervision, and also concerning supervision and control of compliance with law about work, employment of the population, obligatory national social insurance from labor accident and the occupational disease which entailed disability in connection with temporary disability, on unemployment case (further - obligatory national social insurance) regarding appointment, charge and allowance payment, compensations, provisions of social services and other types of material security for the purpose of observance of the rights and guarantees of insured persons.
2. State work in the activities is guided by the Constitution and the laws of Ukraine, presidential decrees of Ukraine and resolutions of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted according to the Constitution and the laws of Ukraine, acts of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, other acts of the legislation.
