About entering of amendments into some legal acts
The Parliament adopts this organic law.
Art. I. – Part (1) Article 14 of the Trade union act No. 1129-XIV of July 7, 2000 (2000, Art. No. 130-132, 919), with subsequent changes, after the words "health protection" to add the official monitor of the Republic of Moldova with words ", equal opportunities and the equal address for men and women".
Art. II. – In the Law on providing equal opportunities for women and men No. 5-XVI of February 9, 2006 (Official monitor of the Republic of Moldova, 2006, Art. No. 47-50, 200), with subsequent changes and amendments, to make the following additions:
1. Part (articles 6 after words of "public positions" to add 3) with words ", to process of continuous professional development and promotion on position".
2. Part (Article 10 to add 3) with Item g) the following content:
"g) provide to workers and/or their representatives information on legislative provisions concerning equal opportunities and the equal address for women and men within structure.".
3. Add Chapter III with Article 12-1 of the following content:
"Article 12-1. Access to goods and services and provision of goods and services
(1) Persons providing goods and services for public and private sectors including public organizations and the services provided out of the sphere of private and family life provide access to goods and services and their provision with respect for the principle of the equal address for women and men.
(2) Distinctions in the address are allowed if provision of goods and services is intended for the defined sex and is justified by legitimate interest.
(3) In the field of safety (reinsurance) activities and financial services connected with it distinction on the basis of sex is not established when calculating the awards, rates and benefits following from insurance contracts.
