About service records of the working citizens of Turkmenistan
According to the Labor code of Turkmenistan and for the purpose of targeting of due procedure in accounting of labor activity of the working citizens of Turkmenistan I decide:
1. Determine that the service record is the main document on labor activity of citizens of Turkmenistan.
2. Approve enclosed:
Regulations on procedure for maintaining service records;
samples of the service record and insert to it.
3. Enact Regulations on procedure for maintaining service records since January 1, 2001.
4. Determine that issue of service records of sample of 2000 is performed since January 1, 2001.
The service records of old sample which are available for citizens are not subject to exchange for new.
Service records both the new, and earlier established sample are kept according to the procedure, the provided Regulations on procedure for maintaining service records.
5. To management for seal under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan:
perform production of service records of new sample and inserts to them for providing the ministries, departments, hyakimlik with them, country associations, the companies, the organizations and organizations according to their requests;
in coordination with the Ministry of Economics and finance of Turkmenistan to establish the cost of service records and inserts to them taking into account actual expenses on their production.
6. To heads of the ministries, departments, hyakimlik, country associations, companies, organizations and organizations:
exercise strict control of observance of established procedure of maintaining service records of workers;
take measures to improvement of storage of the archive documents relating to labor activity of workers (orders on acceptance and dismissal, personal cards, pay-sheets, personal accounts on the salary, etc.).

Service records are kept also on workers, busy on seasonal and temporary works.

2. Service records are kept only in the place of the main work. Part-time job can be noted in the service record in the place of the main work.
To persons for the first time going to work, the service record is issued and initial record in it is made by the company where they for the first time go to work.
3. Persons going to work (except for the first time arriving), shall show to the employer of the company the service record which is drawn up in accordance with the established procedure, and dismissed from Armed Forces of Turkmenistan - the military ID.
Employment without service record is not allowed.
Persons going to work for the first time shall provide to the employer the certificate of the last occupation issued at the place of residence by the relevant housing and operational organ (gengesh of the settlement or both).
4. The service record is stored at the employer, and in case of dismissal of the worker is handed out to it.

6. Filling of the service record is for the first time made by the employer in the presence of the worker no later than week term from the date of employment.
