About introduction of amendments to the Law of Ukraine "About the higher education" concerning ensuring the right to the higher education of persons whose residence is temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine decides:

I. Bring in the Law of Ukraine "About the higher education" (Sheets of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, 2014, No. 37-38, of Art. 2004 with subsequent changes) the following changes:

1. Third of article 44 after paragraph two to add part with the new paragraph of the following content:

"For persons whose residence is temporarily occupied territory and received the document on general secondary education, acceptance on training in one of the higher educational institutions located in the territory of the Zaporizhia, Nikolaev, Odessa and Kherson regions it is performed on competitive basis by results of entrance tests within the established acceptance quotas in higher educational institutions (scientific institutions) of Ukraine".

With respect thereto third to consider the paragraph the paragraph the fourth.

2. In the Section XV "Final and transitional provisions":

add Item 2 with the subitem 19 of the following content:

"19) the quota size for acceptance of persons whose residence is temporarily occupied territory in the higher educational institutions located in the territory of the Zaporizhia, Nikolaev, Odessa and Kherson regions is established in volume of 1000 places of the state order and distributed between the specified higher education institutions according to the procedure, determined by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine";

add Item 5 with the subitem 12 of the following content:

"12) to provide profound studying of Ukrainian by persons whose residence is temporarily occupied territory and accepted for study in one of the higher education institutions located in the territory of the Zaporizhia, Nikolaev, Odessa and Kherson regions".

II. Final provisions

1. This Law becomes effective from the date of, its publication following behind day, and becomes effective in month from the date of entry into force.
