About introduction of amendments to the Law of Ukraine "About physical culture and sport" about recognition of national sports

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine decides:

I. Bring in the Law of Ukraine "About physical culture and sport" (Sheets of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, 2010, No. 7, Art. 50; 2014, Art. No. 2-3, 41) following changes:

1. Add Article 1 taking into account alphabetic procedure with the term of the following content:

"National sports - the sports based on national and cultural traditions of Ukraine".

2. To add article 20 after part seven with new part of the following content:

"In case of absence of the relevant international sports federation the status of national sports federation which promotes development of national sport is provided according to the decision of the central executive body realizing state policy in the field of physical culture and sport".

With respect thereto the eighth - the eleventh to consider parts respectively parts nine - the twelfth.

3. In parts one, the sixth and seventh Article 37 of the word to "the Olympic and not Olympic sports" shall be replaced with words to "the Olympic, not Olympic and national sports".

II. Final provisions

1. This Law becomes effective in three months from the date of its publication, except Item 2 of this Section which becomes effective from the date of, its publication following behind day.

2. To the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine before entry into force of this Law:

bring the regulatory legal acts into accord with this Law;

provide review and reduction by the ministries and other central executive bodies of their regulatory legal acts in compliance with this Law.
