Rules of submission of space data in National infrastructure of space data

Chapter 1. General provisions

1. These rules of submission of space data in National infrastructure of space data (further – Rules) are developed according to the subitem 3) of article 12 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "About geodesy, cartography and space data" (further – the Law) and determine procedure for submission of space data in National infrastructure of space data.

2. In these rules the following basic concepts are used:

1) the geoportal – the information system providing access to space data and geoservices of space data by telecommunications;

2) interoperability – the principle of mutually compatibility expressing capability of space data, metadata, technical and software to functional and information exchange;

3) space data – the information containing data on location of objects of the area, provided in certain form and coordinate reference system;

4) owners of space data – the central state bodies and local executive bodies of the Republic of Kazakhstan which are customers of the state order for creation, updating of space data, their sets and services;
