Due to the questions arising in court practice on the cases connected with crimes against traffic safety and operation of transport, being guided by article 17 of the Law "About Courts", the Plenum of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan decides:
1. Draw the attention of courts that the main object of crimes against traffic safety and operation of transport is public safety and public order. At the same time, when making of the specified crimes the perpetrator practically in all cases encroaches also on other objects protected by the law, such as life and health of the person.
2. Legal and organizational basis of traffic safety and operation of transport, procedure and traffic safety in the Republic of Uzbekistan are determined:
Air code of the Republic of Uzbekistan;
The law of the Republic of Uzbekistan of August 29, 1998 "About road transport";
The law of the Republic of Uzbekistan of April 15, 1999 "About rail transport";
The law of the Republic of Uzbekistan of January 19, 2024 "About traffic
";The traffic regulations approved by the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan of April 12, 2022 No. 172
;The rules of transportation of passengers and baggage by road transport approved by the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan of November 4, 2003 No. 482, and other acts of the legislation.
