At the request of the Council of Ministers of Defense of the State Parties of the Commonwealth of Independent States the Economic Court passes on January 20, 2000 the decision No. 01-1/5-99 on interpretation of application of part 1 of article 2 of the Agreement on procedure for provision of pensions of the military personnel and their families and national insurance of the military personnel of the State Parties of the Commonwealth of Independent States of May 15, 1992 establishing procedure for offsetting in length of service for purpose of pensions to the military personnel of their service (including on favorable terms) in military forming in the territory of other State Party of the Agreement of May 15, 1992.
Determination of November 14, 2001 by Court makes explanation of the specified decision in relation to the right of the military personnel to preferential calculation of length of service for the period of their service in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan according to the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "About social protection of the citizens who were injured owing to nuclear testing on the Semipalatinsk test nuclear test site" of December 18, 1992.
