Chapter 1. General provisions

1. This Instruction "About procedure for opening, renewal and closing of bank accounts with credit institutes in the Republic of Tajikistan" (further in the text - the Instruction) is developed for the purpose of regulation of procedure for opening, maintaining, renewal and closing of bank accounts with credit institutions of the Republic of Tajikistan in national currency and foreign currency, for legal entities and physical persons, residents and nonresidents of the Republic of Tajikistan and in compliance by part 2 of article 3 of the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan "About banks and banking activity", and also articles 5 and 7 of the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan "About currency control and currency exchange control".

2. In the Instruction if another is not established, the following terms are used:

- credit institution - bank, the non-bank financial organization (further in the text - "bank").

- the client - legal entity or physical person, resident or the nonresident of the Republic of Tajikistan which use services of Bank in opening and maintaining bank accounts, or his legal representatives, (further in the text - "client").

- the bank account - the bank account of the client in national and foreign currency opened and supported in bank in which cash flow of the client is reflected.
