About procedure for administration of the tariff quotas for import of white sugar and products from sugar

According to provisions of the Law No. 218-XV of June 1, 2001 on the entry of the Republic of Moldova into the World Trade Organization (The official monitor of the Republic of Moldova, 2001, Art. No. 59-61, 397), the Law No. 1380-XIII of November 20, 1997 on customs tariff (repeated publication: The official monitor of the Republic of Moldova, 2007, special release), with subsequent changes and amendments, and also for simplification of the mechanism of administration of the tariff quotas for import of white sugar and products from sugar, DECIDES: the Government

1. The customs duty on commodity import, classified by goods items 1701 and 1702, provided within the established tariff quotas, is applied on the basis of the principle "the first came - the first received" and within quotas according to Appendix 1 to the Law No. 1380-XIII of November 20, 1997 on customs tariff.

2. Accounting of commodity import, the established tariff quotas classified by goods items of 1701 and 1702 within, according to appendix 1 to the Law No. 1380-XIII of November 20, 1997 on customs tariff, is conducted by Customs Service in process of placement of these goods under customs regime of import.

3. The preferential customs duty on import in the amount of 10% is applied for each supply of sugar and products from sugar to goods quantity which does not exceed ten percent from the quotas established by the legislation.

4. To impose control over the implementation of this Resolution on the Ministry of Finance.
