About modification and amendments in the Law of Turkmenistan "About certification of products and services"

I. Bring in the Law of Turkmenistan "About certification of products and services", accepted on October 8, 1993 (Sheets of Majlis of Turkmenistan, 1993, No. 9-10, of Art. 94; 1999, No. 4, Art. 56; 2001, No. 2, Art. 22; 2009, No. 2, Art. 33; 2011, No. 3, Art. 63), following changes and amendments:

1. To state part one of Article 6 in the following edition:

"1. Obligatory certification - certification of products on compliance to requirements of the standard or other regulating document ensuring its safety for life, human health, property of citizens and the environment, product quality (works, services).

Products imported into the country and exported are subject to obligatory certification.

The goods intended for personal, family and other not connected with implementation of business activity, needs of physical persons, imported into the country, and the exported products are exempted from obligatory certification. Separate types of such products when importing to the country can be subject to obligatory certification. The list of the products imported into the country, which are subject to obligatory certification affirms the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan.

Certification is carried out by authorized bodies in the field of certification within their competence according to the legislation of Turkmenistan.".

2. The second Article 8 to state part in the following edition:

"2. Certificates or certificates on their recognition are represented to customs authorities together with the customs declaration and are necessary documents for receipt of the import permit of products on the territory of Turkyomenistan.".

II. This Law becomes effective from the date of its official publication.
