Based on parts one, third and eighth Article 50 of the Labor code of the Republic of Belarus, subitem 6.55 of Item 6 and subitem 7.1.11 of Item 7 of the Regulations on the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Republic of Belarus approved by the resolution of Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus of October 31, 2001 No. 1589, the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Republic of Belarus DECIDES:
1. Establish sample of the service record according to appendix.
2. Approve the Instruction about procedure for maintaining service records it (is applied).
3. Determine that the forms of service records and inserts of sample to them the republican service record of 1995 which are available for employers are valid before their complete use.
4. This resolution becomes effective after its official publication.

1. This Instruction determines procedure for maintaining service records, including their filling, issue of service records (inserts to them), duplicates of service records, calculations for service records (inserts to them), their accounting and procedure for storage by the employer.
2. The service record of the established sample is the main document on labor activity of the worker in cases when its filling is obligatory.
3. Service records and inserts to them are kept in one of state languages of the Republic of Belarus.
4. Service records are filled in with the employer (except for the employer – physical person) on all workers working over five days, including going to work for the first time if work at this employer is for the worker the main.
5. Persons employed not for the first time show to the employer the service record.
6. The Item is excluded according to the Resolution of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Republic of Belarus of 10.01.2020 No. 1
7. On the members of peasant farm and other persons working in such economy according to the employment contract (contract) if work in peasant farm is for them the main, service records are kept according to the procedure, established by this Instruction.
8. To person for the first time going to work, the employer in the presence of the worker no later than seven calendar days from the date of employment fills in the service record of sample of the service record according to appendix to the resolution which approved this Instruction.
