About approval of legalized units of sizes

Based on article 7 of the Law No. 19/2016 on metrology (The official monitor of the Republic of Moldova, 2016, Art. No. 100-105, 190), with subsequent changes, DECIDES: the Government

This resolution shifts the Directive 80/181/EEC of Council of December 20, 1979 about rapprochement of the legislation of state members relating to units of measure and about cancellation of the Directive 71/354/EEC published in the Official magazine of the European Union by L 39 of February 15, 1980, CELEX: 31980L0181, with the last changes made by the Directive (EU) 2019/1258 of the Commission of July 23, 2019.

1. Approve legalized units of sizes (are applied).

2. The legalized units of sizes approved by this Resolution belong to the performed measurements, values of quantity expressed in terms of sizes and the measuring instruments applied in the areas of implementation of legislative metrological control provided in article 11 of the Law No. 19/2016 on metrology.

3. Provisions of this Resolution do not exclude use of other units of sizes, except legalized units of the sizes approved by this Resolution, in the field of air, sea and rail transport, established by conventions and international agreements which party the Republic of Moldova is.

4. Application of other units of sizes, except legalized units of the sizes approved by this Resolution is allowed for:

1) the goods and the equipment which are in the market and/or in operation on the date of entry into force of this Resolution;

2) components and the parts of goods and the equipment necessary for picking or replacement of components or parts of the goods and equipment provided in the subitem 1).

4-1. For the showing devices of measuring instruments the legalized units of sizes approved by this resolution are used.
