The Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tajikistan the hereinafter referred to as Parties,
being guided by interests of practical realization of provisions of the Constitutive treaty of Eurasian economic community of October 10, 2000,
recognizing need of close cooperation for protection of external borders of the Parties,
proceeding from mutual interest in safety of state members of Eurasian economic community,
agreed as follows:
For the purposes of this Agreement the term "external borders" means sites of frontiers of the Parties with the states which are not agreement parties about organization of Eurasian economic community.
The parties perform cooperation on suppression on external limits of acts of terrorism, illicit movement of weapon and ammunition, the explosive, poisoning, narcotic and psychotropic substances, radioactive materials and other objects of smuggling, and also in fight against illegal migration and manifestations of religious extremism.
The parties take measures for harmonization of national legal and other regulations for boundary questions according to the Protocol on bases of activities of boundary departments for assistance of harmonization of legislative and other regulatory base of state members of Eurasian economic community (appendix 1).
Boundary departments of the Parties according to the Agreement on information exchange of state members of Eurasian economic community on boundary questions of September 14, 2001 perform permanent exchange of information about the situation developing on external border and also on other questions connected with protection of frontier and which are of mutual interest.
