confirming the commitment to the universally recognized norms of international law, to the purposes and the principles of Articles of organization of the United Nations, provisions of the Helsinki Final act and other documents of Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe,

being guided by regulations of the Contract between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Lithuania on mutual understanding and cooperation signed on November 7, 1993 in the city of Almaty

confirming and supplementing the arrangements fixed in the Joint statement on the further development of friendship and cooperation between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Lithuania made on May 11, 2000 in the city of Astana

with satisfaction estimating friendly and partner nature of the bilateral Kazakhstan-Lithuanian relations,

we declare as follows:

we confirm importance and priority of further development and deepening of the friendship between two states having considerable potential in political, economic, cultural, humanitarian and other spheres;

we regard further development of bilateral cooperation as necessary and essential contribution to strengthening of the world and stability in regional and global scale; we confirm need of close interaction within the international organizations;
