According to provisions of the Law No. 218-XV of June 1, 2001 on the entry of the Republic of Moldova into the World Trade Organization (The official monitor of the Republic of Moldova, 2001, Art. No. 59-61, 397), the Law No. 1380-XIII of November 20, 1997 on customs tariff (repeated publication: The official monitor of the Republic of Moldova, 2007, special release), with subsequent changes and amendments, and also considering notification of the WTO of G/MA/TAR/RS/150 of May 15, 2009 which, in case of acquiescence, was accepted by WTO member countries on August 15, 2009, the Government DECIDES:

1. Approve, according to appendix, Regulations on administration of the tariff quotas for import of white sugar and products from sugar.

2. Equip the Ministry of Economy and Trade with function on management of the tariff quotas for import of white sugar and products from sugar.

3. Give to Customs Service import permits of white sugar and products from sugar based on the authorizations for import issued by the Ministry of Economy and Trade.

4. This Resolution becomes effective on October 1, 2009.

5. To impose control over the implementation of this Resolution on the Ministry of Economy and Trade and Customs Service.
